On 14 May, the Night of Museums, Solvita Āboltiņa, Speaker of the Saeima welcomed visitors and cast her vote for one of the top five logo designs for the 21 August celebrations.

 On the Night of Museums on 14 May, all visitors of the main building of the Saeima will have a chance to vote for one of the five proposed logo designs for the 21 August celebrations. The logos designed by children and young people can be viewed on the website www.21augusts.lv devoted to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitutional Law on the Statehood of the Republic of Latvia.

 On Tuesday, 3 May, the jury will hold a meeting to evaluate nearly 100 submissions by children and youths for the logo design contest in honour of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitutional Law on the Statehood of the Republic of Latvia.

Today the Steering Committee that is in charge of planning the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of adoption of the Constitutional Law on the Statehood of the Republic of Latvia announced that the winner of the logo contest is Luīze Anna Pētersone, aged nine, who designed the singing rooster that appealed to most voters.
